Fixed!

Whew!  I fixed the problems with my comments and feed.  And this awesome plugin fixed the problem with Wordpress automatically changing my straight quotes to curly quotes.  You know, the one I broke my blog trying to fix in the first place.  So now everything is working right!  I love it when a plan comes together.
