Another night of little sleep up with a feverish, restless child. I am so tired of viruses. So, what's the word? Is cold and flu season going to be over any time soon or do I have to go find that groundhog and give it a little persuading?
We're looking at another round of the dreaded wintry mix here tomorrow. This follows the screed from the Head Office today about our lackadaisacal decision to not see patients on Friday. When all my patients canceled because they didn't want to drive.
I'm ready for it to be over, too. I think it's better than 90% chance that school won't start on time tomorrow and better than 50% that it won't happen at all. Again.
I'm sorry you're got a sick kiddo again and I hope the rest of you don't get it also like before.
Spring is bursting forth in my front yard. Three purple irises popped out overnight! Amazing actually. Of course I get to deal with the sinus headache caused by the sudden change in the weather and the flower smells in the air. Sigh! It's always something, right? Hugs and blessings,
In a barely audible news report last week, I heard Brian Williams say that next year scientists are going to start from scratch with the flu vaccine because they FUCKED up so bad on this year's. OK, those were my words, but whatever. So, I think that is why everyone's been so sick so much this year. Though, I never heard prior reports saying people had messed up the vaccine.
I am clearly one of the only people on the planet who's favourite time of year is winter! I must say though, that I am feeling an extra spring in my step since the sun has been shining more and the days are getting longer and warmer ~ very spring like!
I'm sorry you've had to deal with so many nasty germs! Hopefully this is the end of it for a while.
Thanks for all your good wishes! It's Saturday now, everyone is feeling healthier, and I'm catching up on blogging -- but I'm still tired of winter germs. This has truly been a bad one for a lot of folks, it seems.
