Rainy Day Haikus

Haiku FridayIt's Friday again.
Many more words unwritten.
Week lost to illness.

Rain pouring outside.
My daughter calls winter rain
silver water-snow.

Haiku Friday is
spreading out to other blogs:
Jen writes for Jesus.

My Catholic mother
would be proud I inspired
Haiku for Jesus.

This morning I had
a Higher Power moment
showing me my way.

Next week I hope that
I can blog about marriage,
God, autism, race...

And maybe about
letters, careers and money.
Not much to say, huh?

The rain keeps falling.
A small bird huddles outside
ruffling feathers.

  2. Beautiful Haiku!
I'm so glad I happened by.
    So much shared within

    all you've written here.
    Looking forward to the posts
    you will publish next.

I published two Haikus today (one on each blog), and I left an award for you at Sacred Ruminations awhile back … on Monday I think. Tennis will end this weekend and my life will get back to normal so I should be visiting more regularly again.
Hugs and blessings to you today as always,

  4. I love your Haiku! Must confess that I tried to write one as a comment but it seems that I can either make sense or get the rhythm right. Am admiring the fact that you can do both!

Looking forward to your next week's postings.

    MPJ -
Thank you for you the comment, but most of all, your encouragement regarding my 30 days.

I hope you and your kids are feeling much better. Love the Friday Haiku and I left you a haiku comment....

Yes, my daughter is the real poet. I love the way she sees the world. The conversation that led to her calling rain "silver water-snow" was a lovely one.
