I Heart Hillary

I've been threatening to post about this for months, and I've finally gone and done it: I've got a post up on my other blog about why I'm voting for Hillary Clinton to be the next President of the United States.   1. Well... I'd actually vote for her as well... simply because I think Bill was the best President ever, and I honestly believe she had a hand in how he ran the country ;)

    Have you seen the Hillary nutcracker? Go google it. I am probably just perpetuating the sexist opinions of her, but it is kind of funny.

    I don't know who I am in favor of. I do think the Clintons have been relatively dishonest in many matters, and I am starting to believe that the politician that represents me needs to have a strong moral base. (that doesn't mean Republican or Democrat but trustworthy)

    Recovering Wino, I think I'll do a followup post on honesty in politics, and why I feel the Clintons are actually more trustworthy than others in the race who may seem more honest.

    Well, I'm not American, so I'm not allowed to vote but if I was, I would be pretty torn between Clinton and Obama. At first I was definitely a Clintonite but she really has done so many dishonest things, as Recovering Wino says, so I'm suspicious of her. Also, it is annoying the way American politics keeps on having these dynasties. Nobody else seems to get a chance.

    Obama is too much of a smooth operator for me. Even though I'm a white woman, he's probably not black enough for me (although you could argue, why should he be?). I just find it quite amazing that he does not talk more about race but, at the same time, I know why he doesn't - there's no way in hell he'd ever get elected if he did an Al Sharpton. He's just a little too strategic for my liking, and I find that hard to relate to because I've always been a very passionate, idealistic person, But, then, passion and idealism do not work well in politics.

    On the other hand, though, it would be pretty fucking revolutionary for the US to have a black man as president!

    Damn, Slutty! You're right, I screwed up the link. It should be working now. I think I'm also going to do a post on race and Obama on the other blog too. I have always believed that the US is more likely to elect a black man than a woman, so I actually see Hillary as the more radical choice.
